NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 GPUs to see even lower prices by the end of August

Two Chinese news outlets citing their own sources from the supply chain suggest that NVIDIA RTX 30 graphics cards should get even lower prices by the end of this month.

The report comes from MEGAsizeGPU, which claims that Nvidia is producing the 12GB RTX 3080 again to help clear out additional stock. The SKU could also allow Nvidia to use up GA102 GPUs that didn't make the cut for the RTX 3090.

The pricing for NVIDIA GPUs has been significantly reduced over the past few months. The reasons why is this happening are many, but it’s mainly the fact that the interest in crypto mining on GPUs has plummeted, and gamers are simply not buying as many graphics cards as they used to. This is especially concerning for NVIDIA because the company has reportedly ordered too many chips and there are simply too few customers to buy them.

For now, there are no details on which cards will be price adjusted or when exactly would that happen. What is clear though is that NVIDIA has even less time than AMD, who are now targeting November for Radeon RX 7000 series launch.  Hopefully, the new price adjustment will also affect RTX 3060/3070 series, which for some reasons can still be found at higher than the suggested price
