Intel Core i9-13900K 60% Faster Compared To 12900K

 

According to a Tweet by @OneRaichu, Intel's Raptor Lake Core i9-13900K was tested in 7-Zip’s compression and decompression benchmark and found to be up to 60% faster than its predecessor, the Core i9-12900K.

Both systems were using the same 32GB DDR5-6400CL32 memory kit, but there is no information on the motherboard used.

Such a performance improvement is mainly due to higher 13900K CPU clock and increased core count. The screenshots shared by Raichu show 13900K going as high as 5716 MHZ for one thread and 4611 MHz for 16 threads. In the same test 12900K only reached 5021 MHz and 4060 MHz respectively.

Intel 13th Gen Core series are now set to launch in October, following the official announcement at Intel Innovation event on September 27th.
