Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti in 2022 - Can You Still Game on it???

 

Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti was released 6 Years Ago on Oct 25, 2016, for $139 and it is still a very popular card among budget gamers. Even GTX 1050 ti was one of the best-selling cards last year when Crypto Currency Minning was at its peak but this GPU is already becoming outdated in terms of 1080p gaming. You will have to play in 720p resolution and medium or low settings to hit 60FPS in modern titles.

Today we will test 27 Games on GTX 1050 Ti at 1080p resolution and see how it performs in 2022. We have also added 2022's Nvidia GTX 1630 to the test to see how a 6 year old GTX 1050 ti performs against 2022's budget card.

Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti vs GTX 1630 in 27 Games

After testing Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti in 27 Games at 1080p Resolution it scored 51 FPS on average in 27 Games. Also, it was faster than 2022's Nvidia GTX 1630 in almost every game. On average in 27 games Nvidia GTX 1630 Scored 46 FPS average. So here Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti was 10% faster than Nvidia GTX 1630 on average.

Conclusion:

It’s a nice cheap budget GPU for 1080p medium or Low graphical settings but anything more than that especially with High or Ultra Settings in modern games makes the GPU useless. If you are willing to sacrifice Ultra and High settings and lower the resolution from 1080p to 720p then this card can hold for another 2 or 3 years, Still don't expect to get 60 FPS in every game but you will get a nice gaming experience.
